The construction of the civil works and structural construction can be a complex process which requires professional supervision to ensure that the works are carried out with a high level of quality, in accordance with the relevant environmental and safety regulations and matches the building department approved set of civil and structural design drawings, specifications and details. Whereas, the responsibility for ensuring that the works are carried out appropriately usually lies with the main contractor it is often necessary or prudent for the structural and civil engineers to be employed to carry out independent supervision of the works.

 

The engineering staff within BOLAS Engineering have experience of working on-site and of supervising the work of contractors and their sub-contractors. We have experience of interacting with the contactor’s site set up to ensure the construction works are properly carried out. We are also able to use our experience and engineering judgment to react to unforeseen issues and to provide solutions on site. It is also possible for us to work with the site team to develop and approve the building contractor’s temporary work and method of construction where appropriate.
